Congratulations to Sarah Paton who broke the Open ACT Residents 1500m freestyle record on the way to winning gold in this event. Sarah also picked up a bronze in the 400m IM.
Jeremy Huntley broke the 16 years Residents record for 50m back. Well done!
Katrina Lewis won three bronze medals the multi disability events: 50 fly, 400 free and 100 free.

NSW State Open Championships - 18 to 20 February 2005

Day 3 results for ACT swimmers.
Medal winners were: Katrina Lewis - gold in the multi-disability 100m freestyle; Sarah Paton with bronze in the 100m Fly; and bronze to Siobhan Paton in the multi-disability 100m breaststroke.
Day 2 results for ACT swimmers.
Tonight Sarah Paton broke the Women's Open and 17 and over ACT Residents 400m IM in a time of 4:51.94. Thie previous record had been set by Michelle Pearson back in 1986. Well done, Sarah. A super effort. This swim earned Sarah a gold medal.
Other medal winners were: Katrina Lewis - gold in the multi-disability 400m freestyle and silver to Siobhan Paton in the multi-disability 100m backstroke.

Day 1 results for ACT swimmers. Congratulations to all swimmers who made finals. Medal winners were Sarah Paton (Gold) in the 1500m freestyle; Katrina Lewis (Gold) in the multi-disability 50m freestyle and bronze in the multi-disability 200m IM.
 
2005 AIS International Swimming Open - 11-13 February 2005

Congratulations to Alice Mills for breaking the ACT womens 50m freestyle record and the backing up and breaking the 100m freestyle record in 54.68. Her 50m free times were 25.11 in the heats and 25.03 in the final. These were also ACT 17 & over records. She provisionally broke 4 national 18 years records.

Two ACT resident records were broken at the meet: Erin Priestly broke the 12 years 50m freestyle record in a time of 29.54 and Jeremy Huntley broke the 15 years 50m back in a time of 28.91.

Stephanie Williams broke the ACT 15 years 200m backstroke in a time of 2:14.60 taking .50 of a second off Leigh Habler's time set in 1992.

NSW Open Water Championships 10K swim

Congratulations to Emma Fitzgibbon on her 3rd place in the NSW State Open Water Championships 10K swim. Emma's time was 2:09.41.39.
 
NSW 13 Years and over Age Championships - 12 to 16 January 2005

Day 1 results: Congratulations to all swimmers who made finals. Medal winners were Adam Bingham 3rd in the 16 years 400m free; Sophie Andriolo 2nd in the 16 years 100m back; George Pulley 2nd in the 13 years 100m breast and Matthew D'Arcy 3rd (2nd NSW) in the 14 years 100m fly.
Day 2 results: Medal winners on day 2 were Sophie Andriolo 1st in the 16 years 200m back; Adam Bingham 2nd in the 16 years 200m free which equalled his ACT Residents record for this event; George Pulley 2nd in the 13 years 200m breast and Yoichi Kobayashi 3rd in the 14 years 200m fly.
Day 3 results: Medal winners on day 3 were Sarah Paton 1st in the 17-18 years 100m fly; Emma Fitzgibbon 3rd in the 17-18 100m breast; Greg Brewer 3rd (1st NSW) in the 19 & over 100m breast, and Jon Slater 4th (2nd NSW) in the 19 & over 100m breast.
Day 4 results: Medal winners on day 4 were Emma Fitzgibbon 2nd in the 17-18 200m breast; Adam Bingham 3rd in the 16 years 100m free; Greg Brewer 3rd (1st NSW) in the 19 & over 200m breast; Jon Slater 4th (2nd NSW) in the 19 & over 200m breast; and Sarah Paton 4th (3rd NSW) in the 17-18 years 100m free.
Day 5 results: Medal winners on day 5 were Sarah Paton 1st in the 17-18 years 200m IM and the 200m fly and Adam Bingham 2nd in the 16 years 200m fly breaking the ACT Resident Record with this swim.
