Update for the Canberra Labor Club ACT Summer Meet [Updated November 21, 2005]
The relays were a highlight of the meet with Campbelltown taking out the club
point score. It was great to see swimmers getting together with other clubs to form teams
with the best of the imaginative team names being The Orphans.

One of the highlights of the Summer is the Brophy Meet. March 26 is the date for Brophy
in 2006.
Brophy information for swimmers and parents

The 2005 Kippax Winter Development Series
has been extended this winter to include intermediate level swimmers, too.
And for swimmers aged 11 and under you can even be an ACT Winter qualifier and be entitled
to swim. The final meet in the Series was hosted by Tuggeranong Vikings Sunday September 11.

[Added March 9, 2005] The 2005 Age Champions and the Womens and Mens Champion Clubs have now been determined.
[Added February 21, 2005] Speed Sprint Finals will be held in Sydney at SOAPC on March 20. The swimmers representing our district are listed as well as up to date information for them and their parents.
[Added February 21, 2005] The final point scores for the 2004-05 Bell's and Foxy's Summer Series are now available for development and intermediate levels.
[Added January 18, 2005] ACT Champions will be determined at the ACT Championships to be held on March 4 to 6. For information see the 2005 Champions selection process.
[Added January 2, 2005] Brophy will be held on Sunday March 13 this year. The team selection process will be a little different this year. For more information see Brophy Selection process.
[Added January 2, 2005] Swimmers taking part in the Long Distance Champions are running out of opportunities to swim 800m and 1500m freestyle events. Consider entering the AIS International Swimming Open on February 11 to 13. The full range of ditance events are being offered. Meet details and the flier will be available shortly. Current standings as at 31 December are now available.
[Added December 6, 2004] The Long Distance Champions competition is well underway. Quite a number of swimmers have already registered. In the 14 and under group, the boys are being led by Martin Pollock (1444) with Trent Pattenden(1350) and David Pollock (1202). The leading girl is Tiffany Williams (1560) followed by Natasha Cossetto (1528), Jessica Traficante (1423) and Megan Ramsay (1420). The Open division has Matt Verwey (1465), Joshua Wood (1303) and John Warmenhoven (1238) and Sarah Paton (1628), Katrina Northey (1578) and Emma Fitzgibbon (1571). Look for an update following the Christmas Classic.
[Added December 6, 2004] The swimmers who competed at the third meet of the 2004-05 Bell's and Foxy's Summer Series held at Goulburn on December 5 had an enjoyable day with a number of swimmers doing some impressive PBs. The Series pointscore standings are showing a very tight field. Swimmers have not been separated into development or intermediate level. This will occur at the end of the Series. Also, series status for swims at Goulburn show whether a swim has been ranked as Intermediate or ACt Champs level. [Added Ocotber 14, 2004] Following on from the successful Kippax Winter Development Series, ACT Swimming is hosting a Summer Series. The Series is being sponsored by Bell's and Foxys.
